How to Style Fall on Reno’s Terms

We’re ready for fall clothes, but Reno’s cold mornings and hot afternoons call for a little flexibility. We’re bringing in fall colors and textures while keeping our fabrics and layers light.

We love a short-sleeve cardigan with dark denim and a brown kitten heel sandal. You get that sweater feel, but the short sleeves and sandals keep it light. Button the cardigan as a top and let the dark denim and brown tones bring in fall.

Next, a lightweight grey sweater with longer denim shorts, tall black suede boots, and a fall bag. The suede adds texture, and the shorts balance out the sweater and boots. A small front tuck gives the outfit a little shape.

For something softer, pair a burgundy silk dress with a lightweight cream sweater and ballet flats. Wear the sweater for cold mornings, then take it off when the afternoon warms up. The dress still looks complete on its own.

One styling trick we love: push up sweater sleeves to show a little wrist. It keeps the outfit from looking like it’s wearing you and helps you feel a little cooler.

Concepts After Hours: Toro Bravo

For your next dinner downtown, start with Toro Bravo’s papas bravas and scallop ceviche. And order the Ángel de Humo we love their roasted pineapple mezcal cocktail.

Grab a table on the patio to enjoy the last of these warm afternoons. Just bring a light sweater for when the sun goes down.
